DNA-free Polymerase

DNA-free Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase. It has a half-life of 3 hours at 96 °C. DNA-free Polymerase possesses a strong 5´→3´ DNA polymerase activity but no 5´→3´ exonuclease activity. It lacks the 3´→5´ proofreading activity, which makes it easy to use. The enzyme is purified free of contaminating endo- and exonucleases. 
The Taq‘s activity is blocked at ambient temperature, e.g. while preparing your master mix. The inhibition of the Taq polymerase is completely reversed when the temperature is above 70 °C. Complete activation of the polymerase is achieved at 94 °C for 2 min. 
DNA-free Polymerase is supplied with a 10x buffer for maximal yield and sensitivity which should fit most standard applications.

Recommended Use / Scope

This enzyme is applied optimal for unspecific bacteria PCR.

DNA-free Polymerase, supplied at 1000 units/ml, 2 units/µl in 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.4 at 25 °C); 100 mM KCl; 0.1 mM EDTA; 1 mM DTT; 0.5 % Tween®20; 0.5 % Nonidet P 40; 200 µg/ml BSA, and 50 % (v/v) glycerol.
